Sonrise Acres
Small flock of laying hens – mostly White Rocks, Barred Rocks, New Hampshire Reds with a few Auracanas – that lay medium-size to large-size brown eggs (the Auracanas lay green eggs). The hens have free 24-hr access to a large outdoor pen, and are fed grain, fresh-picked grasses, vegetable cuttings from the organic garden, and raw goats’ milk. My flock does not receive any hormones or antibiotics, nor are they fed anything that has been sprayed with chemicals/pesticides or treated with commercial fertilizers (we use compost in our garden).
